Amending Trade Commission when cancelling components

Amending Trade Commission when cancelling components

Amending Trade Commission when cancelling components

With trade bookings, there was an issue where previously where if a component was cancelled it did not consider the Commission / Vat on Commission which would cause headaches later when trying to work this out later.

The new development looks to fix by changing it so that on Trade bookings the Commission / Vat on Commission is also factored in when cancelling a component. This would be based on the Trade's commission rules by default and can be overridden as well if needed.

Example:

I have setup a Kuoni Trade booking using Hotel Cabin as an example.

At this stage I want to cancel Hotel Cabin.

This can be done in multiple ways either selecting the X in the booking menu, or during amend booking as well as in itinerary builder. If the booking is a Trade booking the Commission / Vat on commission fields will display and will otherwise be hidden.

In this case I have selected Amend booking and clicked the X symbol to the right of the Hotel Cabin component.

Here you can see the two new fields that have been added Commission and Vat on Commission.

By default, the Commission / Vat on Commission will pre-populate based on the commission setup for the trade to use, in this case 13% and 20% and apply this to the cancellation amount worked out by iVector.

Canx Commission – £140 x 13% = £18.20

Vat on Commission - £18.20 x 20% = £3.64

However, if for whatever reason you want to change these values then all you need to do is overwrite these values with new ones and they will be used instead.

Once happy click cancels and from here you can continue to make changes, create a new quote or commit the changes to the booking and the booking will update based on the changes made.
